The RV life is such a great way to see our amazing country! But there are some things that are a must have to be a full time RVer.
Planning
So let’s start with tools to help get you started with planning your travels. You will spend quite a bit of time mapping out just the right route. But with RV Trip Wizard, it can help make life a better. They have an amazing tool to help you plan, not only what route to take, but they have RV parks, gas stations, points of interest, and even plan the cost of that leg of the trip. For example, if you want to only drive 4 or 5 hours before you get to your destination, you can look for Crackle Barrels, Bass Pro Shops, Wal-Marts that you can park over night. This is a tool we are happy to pay for, an annual subscription is only $39. Well worth its value.

Along with being a part of the club, you then can get other offers as well. Prices start as low as $29.

Outdoor Living Space
Outdoor living is a huge part of the RV lifestyle. Most people will spend most of their time outside while full time living in the RV. There are several things to consider when traveling in an RV, the first and probably most important is space.
Your outdoor seating area should be comfortable, one of the favorites is the GCI Outdoor Freestyle Rocker. Sturdy, and most importantly comfortable.
And of course you will want a table to set your drinks and any fun treasures you may want to display. Or simply a light. This a table is great for your needs, easy to store, easy to set up!
Now for into cooking, one of the most useful items, is the Blackstone Griddle. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be made on this. It is easy to store in the carrying bag. And easy to assembly to the propane tank, wether its on your rig or the smaller tanks. They come in different sizes, pick the one that works best for your needs.
Many RV Resorts will provide a picnic table for your site, but so many are not in the best condition, and it doesn’t get used. Table Gloves are amazing. They come in different colors, made with a heavy military grade vinyl, holds up amazing in the weather. They will last you for years, and great for all your game nights outside!
RV Operations
A few helpful items that will help make your trips, life even more comfortable.
If you have ever had to get out in the pouring rain to move the pads for the leveling jacks, you know that it’s not any fun. Try the SnapPad Prime permanent pads that snap on to your leveling jacks. This will also alleviate storage, as well as protect the foot from rust and other damage that can occur. This will also give you a wider footprint for your pads, helps in softer soil, and will help eliminate sinking.
Don’t leave without a Surge Guard 50 AMP, these are designed to handle the high power consumption of RV life. This guy will check for open ground, open neutral, correct polarity and reversed lines/guard. Also weather resistant with a rain proof cover.
The last thing on this portion is one that is hard to live without. A stackable washer and dryer, or a washer/dryer combo. This will save you money and time in the long run. At first you may think , I can just go and get it done at the campground laundry or in town. But let’s just say, be ready to spend $3 to wash and about the same to dry! And then all that time you spend there waiting for that to finish up. This is a game changer for sure.
Fun Stuff
So now for some things that you can use to have even more fun! If you like the water as much as we do then an inflatable Paddle Boards are the way to go. They store easily, and go anywhere you want to go. Thurso Surf has amazing boards, Thurso has the strongest iSUP structure available. The construction of each of their boards have a double layer, as well as triple/quad Military grade PVC coating on the deck and side with carbon reinforcement on rails. These boards are durable, stiff, light weight and performs like a hard board. They have also added GoPro mounts on the nose of the boards.

To capture amazing photos like this you will want to have a great camera. You can use anything from your cell phone, a GoPro, a SeaLife to a DSLR camera. Whatever your outdoor passion is can help you decide which is best for you. Of course you can use all of these if you choose (we do). Also don’t forget about a selfie stick/tripod for your cell phone. You never know when you want to get that perfect picture.
As you travel it is important to be able to keep in contact with the outside world. If you are full timing then a reliable internet is a must! There are several out on the market. ToGo powered by Wineguard is a great one. It is a connection with AT&T, and there the a yearly fee instead of monthly. And so much more affordable than most of them out there. In-motion and stationary functionality for uninterrupted coverage. Connect to multiple devices, with in 200 feet from your unit.
