The Easternmost Point

Tybee Island, Georgia is known as Savannah Beach, but it is so much more. It is a quaint beach community, with food, shopping and beaches. And the beaches are like what you see in movies.

Tybee Island has been a quiet getaway for the people of Savannah, but it is quickly becoming a vacation destination of families.

Take a nice walk on the beach and take a walk out on the pier.

If all this does not have you hungry yet then wait for it, because there is a great restaurant that is a local favorite.

The Original Crab Shack, it is a hidden gem and you will miss it if you don’t know what you are looking for. You are seated on their outdoor patio right on the water.

They have trees that canopy the tables, lights strung within the trees.

You could almost feel like you are in a pirate hide away. No reservations are taken, so just go on up, and enjoy those crab legs that you are dreaming about.

And did we mention that you can also go over to their Gator Lagoon. Thats right!

Just pay for the food, grab a pole they provide for you, and start feeding. The gators will jump out of the water to grab that food. It is so fun to watch them crawl over one another to get it first.
