The Tree’s Of Mystery

So it is our second day in Brookings and we decide to go see some of the Redwoods. Again this is a new place for me to visit! On the drive we saw a sigh about “The Tree’s of Mystery”, I told Kerry(the Captain) that looks cool! He was all too happy to stop for us to visit!! You see this is a fond memory from his childhood. I love that we get to share these things with one another! He told me that when he was a kid and they went for the little hike, when they got back to the car there was always a sign on the bumpers hung by wire!! I was like ok, cool. Well you can not attach them to the bumpers anymore with wire!!

So we get there and I’m like WOW!!

Yes that is Paul Bunyan and Blue!! Paul spoke to people as they walked up.

Then we started the trail of the tree’s….

I am in awe of how big these trees are, and the moss on the trees. I have never seen so much! It was so amazing. The hike was an easy hike(you want to wear tennis shoes or something you can walk in through rocks, dirt, and uneven ground.) There is a Sky Trail that will take you to the top(our you can hike it, much harder) From the top you can see the views that go on forever. Although the day we went there was still low clouds. So we did not see as much as we had wanted. But would do this again!!

There is a set of tree’s that is called the Cathedral, they hold weddings there as well. Try are no words for this spot..

These are stairs that use to lead up to the top of the Sky Trail,

Can you walk all those??? I’m not sure I would be able too!!

Waiting to get on the Sky Trail I caught this little guy hanging out!

And we found the signs!! That is right, They may not put them on your cars but they are there for anyone to take!! Kerry was so excited!!
